Introduction
At 8 pm on August 27, after six years of intense preparations, the opening ceremony of the 13th National Games kicked off tonight at the "Water Drop" Stadium – Tianjin Olympic Sports Center Stadium. Familiar faces, wonderful pictures, and I have to say that the atmosphere was really exciting! Click on the picture at the end of the article to view the wonderful H5!
At the opening ceremony last night, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, announced the opening of the 13th Sports Games of the People's Republic of China:
This is the venue where the opening ceremony will be held – the "Water Drop" Stadium. There were a lot of wonderful moments here last night, and a lot of familiar faces. Let’s review together~
These moments are super burning!
The biggest highlight of this opening ceremony is the use of full-screen laser projection throughout the entire process, coupled with the dynamic organic combination with the performers and the synthesis with the light show of tall buildings outside the venue, it is an innovation in the opening ceremonies of previous National Games and even the Olympic Games. .
The breathtaking 3D effect and lifelike three-dimensional effect can be completely fake and real. Coupled with the background curtain that rises from time to time, it can even simulate a four-dimensional effect.
In addition, since the event is held in Tianjin, it is natural to use Tianjin elements to display Chinese stories.
For this Tianjin National Games, the mascot "Jinwa" is an Internet celebrity. In fact, the design inspiration of "Jinwa" comes from the characters in the Yangliuqing wood-block New Year paintings, which are round and pink like those in the New Year paintings. They wear clothes printed with peonies and wear tiger-head shoes, which has a strong folk style.
During the opening ceremony performance, Tianjin's landmark "Eye of Tianjin" "stands" at the scene, which instantly brings the audience closer to the city.
Subsequently, the "Eye of Tianjin" completed its "transformation". The halo of the "Eye of Tianjin" rotates 90 degrees in the air, evolving into the dazzling Olympic rings in the air.
The opening was naturally accompanied by various development achievements. The Fuxing High-Speed Railway is also approaching, and amid the light, shadow and dance, it falls into a "magic" situation.
In the past two years, high-speed rail has greatly changed everyone's lives. In a few days, Fuxing will run at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, and the time from Beijing to Shanghai can be shortened to four and a half hours.
Not only Fuxing, but also the large aircraft C919 "flew" to the opening ceremony. People can't help but sigh, "This is awesome, my country"!
The lives of ordinary people will naturally become better. Square dancing, which has a strong mass base, also appeared at the opening ceremony. Not only that, square dancing and soft ball have become official competition events for the group.
At the opening ceremony, many elderly people participated in the performance. Their movements were uniform and agile.
Whenever a major event opens, the most touching moment is the lighting ceremony of the main torch.
In this National Games, a total of five torchbearers representing the glory of Tianjin sports passed through the relay inside the venue. It was the National Games mascot "Jinwa" and the intelligent robot that finally lit the flame!
Who did you see at the opening ceremony?

A sneak peek of the highlights of the National Games
As a grand comprehensive sports meeting, what are the highlights of this National Games?
1. Fully launch the “National Movement Benefiting the People, Healthy China”
The slogan of this year's National Games is "National Games Benefit the People, Healthy China." In this National Games, what we see is that the flavor of competition has become weak, and the word “all people” has become more important.
One of the biggest surprises of this National Games is that "grassroots" contestants such as square dancing aunties can also appear on the country's largest sports meeting stage.
The 13th National Games added mass competition events, including the "I Want to Go to the National Games" national fitness series including square dance competitions and other events.
Before the opening of the National Games, 19 new mass sports events have begun competition. Among these projects, there are projects with high public participation such as dragon boating, dragon dance, Tai Chi, checkers, bridge, health Qigong, and soft ball, as well as roller skating, rock climbing, aviation, and navigation models that are popular among young people. Fashion events, as well as amateur events in popular Olympic events such as table tennis, badminton, and marathon. Saying goodbye to the positioning of "training for the National Games and winning Olympic gold medals", the Tianjin National Games returned to its original intention of "developing sports and enhancing people's physical fitness" and became a stage for mass sports and fitness.
After 58 years of running, the National Games has become a new platform that combines competitive sports with mass sports, and integrates national fitness with national health. From selecting talents to winning glory for the country, from connecting with the Olympics to showing off one's style, the quiet changes in the National Games' theme keywords vividly mark the development process of contemporary China.
On September 13, 1959, the first National Games opened. Chairman Mao Zedong’s inscription for the China Sports Federation Congress, “Develop sports and enhance people’s physique” became the slogan of the National Games.
The second session (1965): "Dare to win and be good at fighting"
The third session (1975): "Friendship first, competition second"
The Fourth Session (1979): "Exercise the body and strengthen the will to contribute to the realization of the four modernizations"
The fifth session (1983): "Raise the level and win glory for the country"
The Sixth Session (1987): "Out of Asia and into the World"
The Seventh Session (1993): "Hold the Seventh Games with the spirit of the Asian Games and compete for the Olympics with the style of the Seventh Games"
The 8th (1997): "Improving the level of sports and inspiring the spirit of the Chinese nation"
The 9th (2001): "Creating the Brilliance of the Ninth National Games and Showing the Chinese Style"
The 10th session (2005): "Strive hard in 2005 and dream come true in 2008"
The 11th (2009): "Harmonious China National Movement"
The 12th (2013): "National Fitness and Sharing National Games"
2. Cancel the medal list
Another highlight of this National Games is the cancellation of the National Games Olympic gold medal points and the National Games medal list. National Games results and gold medal rankings once became a "performance project" for some local sports departments. The scandal caused by "gold medal supremacy" has seriously affected the healthy development of competitive sports. By canceling the medal list, both provincial, autonomous and municipal delegations and individual athletes can put aside their psychological baggage, return to the sport itself, and fight hard.
Not having a medal list will not dilute the meaning of competition. As a comprehensive sports meeting, the National Games is still the highest level stage of Chinese sports. The level of individual events is even world-class. Therefore, every athlete will go all out.
3. The scale of the opening ceremony was "simple"
The opening ceremony of this National Games is no longer "burning money", and the "pomp and luxury" game hosting model has gradually become history.
The cultural and sports performance at the opening ceremony of this National Games focuses on "Healthy China" and displays national fitness in an all-round and multi-angle manner through four parts: "Tai Chi Charm", "Youth Sports", "Vibrant Youth" and "Happy Life". Not counting the "prescribed actions" such as the entrance ceremony, the total duration of the cultural and sports performance is 50 minutes. Only 50 of the more than 6,000 actors participating in the performance are professional actors, and the others are volunteers. In terms of scale and duration, it is not the "best" of the National Games.
Finally, this unique three-minute Allegro video allows you to quickly appreciate the style of the National Games!
