How To Make The Simplest And Most Beautiful Three-dimensional Christmas Greeting Cards. How To Make Three-dimensional Handmade Greeting Cards With Christmas Pictures.

Christmas is indispensable without Christmas cards, and among the various elements on Christmas cards, Christmas trees are indispensable. Due to the unique structure of the Christmas tree, the Christmas tree can often become the protagonist in three-dimensional Christmas greeting cards.

Method/steps

The basic materials are similar to those needed for other Christmas card making. Mainly cardboard is used to make the outer shell of Christmas cards. We also need green colored paper. After all, the Christmas tree we make is green. Maybe you have a better idea. Colored pens are used for the final decoration of Christmas cards. If you really don't have any, just use pens to draw some on your own. Pencil and white latex or ordinary glue, ruler. These raw materials are readily available in daily life, so I won’t go into details here. As long as you have these simple materials, you can complete this simple Christmas card.

First get the cardboard we prepared. Ordinary cardboard will do. Because this cardboard will become the cover of the final Christmas card, it is better to be stronger. Fold the long side of the cardboard in half as shown in the picture. The main shell of such a simple Christmas card is completed.

Then use the green paper with the help of a ruler to draw lines as shown in the picture, paying attention to the width of the lines. The first one is 3.5 cm, the second one is 5 cm, the third one is 6 cm, and the fourth one is 6.5 cm. In fact, there is no strict definition. You can completely determine the width according to your own preference, but just don’t let it look a little weird in the Christmas card. Basically, there is a gradient change. After all, the Christmas tree It is the protagonist of the entire greeting card.

After the previous drawing is completed. We fold the paper in half along the long edge. This folding is similar to the edge folding we did when making the Christmas card shell. We are doing the same folding now. After completing the folding, we will have the folding style as shown in the picture.

Based on the folding in the previous step, fold it in half again in the same direction. After the folding is completed, press the origami model flat. At this time, we will get the small folded rectangular structure as shown in the picture.

After the folding in the above step is completed, we need to fold the origami model again in the same direction. After folding this time, the paper has become very thick, but this is not the end, because we still need to fold the paper again.

That is, as described in the previous step, it is necessary to fold the origami model in half again. The folding is fully completed here. It can be seen that the degree of folding makes it easy for people to think that this is making an origami fan, but it is difficult to think that it is making a Christmas greeting card.

When we unfold the paper completely, we can see the creases left by the front folding. With the previous folds, we obtain a parallel-arranged crease diagram as shown. This continuous crease is very reminiscent of what it would look like when making an origami rose.

Then we gather the previously folded structures together. The origami pattern obtained at this time looks like an origami accordion, and it is also easily reminiscent of the look and feel of folding hand-made origami hot air balloons before. It still looks very similar.

Then you need scissors to help with the process. Use scissors to cut the lines we drew before folding. After cutting is completed, we will have a strip of paper with continuous creases and wrinkles as shown in the picture. These strips of paper will become the Christmas tree in the later Christmas cards, all you need to do is glue them on.

Then pinch these unfolded small folded paper strips together as shown in the picture, thus forming a folded origami structure as shown in the picture. This origami structure is the same as before, but the paper has been cut here.

After gathering them together, the next step is to paste them into the Christmas card. Proceed as shown in the picture, paste these strips of paper horizontally, paste the shortest strip at the top, and then increase the length below. Approximately 5 to 7 mm between each spacing is sufficient. No need to space it too far apart. But it doesn’t look good if they are all piled together. Anyway, just leave a relatively even interval.

After arranging it, use white latex or glue to stick it to the card on both sides as shown in the picture, then press it with your hands and let it dry for a while, so that it can finally be fixed to the card. When it is completely dry, we unfold the card to get the style as shown in the picture. You can see that the overall style of the upper part is still very good, at least it looks like a three-dimensional card.

After the final four strips of paper are pasted, we will have the Christmas tree style as shown in the picture. Well, although it is very simple to make, after the final production, the overall effect is quite good, especially this kind of Christmas tree has never been seen in the Christmas card library of Paper Art Network. Oh, it’s so interesting to make and it’s very simple. If you haven’t started making this Christmas tree Christmas card yet, you can start making it now.

Finally, of course, I decorate and embellish the Christmas cards myself with watercolor pens or some small cut-and-paste items. If it is just a bare Christmas tree, the overall effect is actually good, after all, it looks more simple. And we can also leave a lot of blank space so that we can write our own blessings and the like, which can be selected according to our own needs.
