1878-2012

On the bank of the Huangpu River in Songjiang, there is a once-famous ferry – Mishidu. Everyone in Fanerxing should know it!

At first glance, Mishidu sounds like a place full of fish and rice. It is also unclear which dynasty, generation, year or month, Songjiang had the "Mi Shi Ferry".

However, what we can confirm is: Mishidu (Tangmi Line), which started sailing in the fourth year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1878), has been completely suspended since June 11, 2012. Since then, Mi Shidu "died" at the age of 134.

Legend has it that there was a fisherman on the river who made a living by fishing. He often brought fish, shrimps, clams to the shore in exchange for rice and vegetables, and the farmers on the shore also needed aquatic products to enrich their taste. So the fishermen and farmers each got what they needed, and the deal was done instantly.

In this way, it spread to ten and hundreds, and this place gradually became a fixed fish and rice trading market. This market happens to be at the fork where the river divides (it has been a ferry port throughout the ages), so some people call it "Mishi Ferry".

In the 1960s, Mishidu had a passenger terminal, and the Pinghu, Huzhou, Haiyan, and Hangzhou cruises departing from Shanghai every day, as well as the Zhangze, Maogang, and Wushe cruises departing from Songjiang City, all had to arrive at the terminal. Stop here.

Mishidu connects north, south, east and west, awakens people's memories and smoothes their future. The children went to study in the city, the girls married across the river, and the boys went to work on the other side. As a result, the ferries carried cars every day, and the cars carried men, women, and children every day. They were full and loud.

Today's Mishidu looks like an old man who has experienced many vicissitudes of life and is faltering. The busy scene of the past with cars and people coming and going has long gone.

Closed doors and windows, deserted people

I can only lament that my time has passed and my youth is gone.

Coming to Mishidu again, I was both happy and regretful. Fortunately, it was not demolished like Dongsandu, and nothing was left. At least it retained all the original buildings; unfortunately, the last car ferry on the Huangpu River in Shanghai was never sent off…

The passageway where vehicles used to come in and out was closed, and the door to the ferry waiting room was locked, leaving no one around.

Empty waiting room

Through the iron fence, you can vaguely see the original appearance of the waiting room.

There were two worship bicycles parked in front of the ticket office, indicating that there were still people working nearby, and this was indeed the case.

Through the window of the ticket office, I could see that the tables and chairs were already covered with thick dust. There is an abacus placed on the table, highlighting its age.

I can’t experience the ferry scene back then.

At least you can stand on the passage and look at the Huangpu River

Pass through the small door of the green iron fence and you will come to the walkway on the water. It's only a few dozen meters away, so you can imagine people's anticipation of crossing the river when walking on it.

Signs prohibiting climbing are still prominent.

Standing on it, you can have a clear view of the Huangpu River. Watching the boats on the river come and go, looking at the Tangkou Ferry on the opposite side, there will be no more boats docking there.

The red flag is flying in the air, and the Mishidu Maritime Station still stands here.

Currently, only Songjiang Route 32 can reach Mishi Ferry Station.

Not far away is a small shop called "Songshun Trading Company" that has closed down. The owner of the store probably named it after the boats in Songjiang.

The wheel of history will never stop

The sacred mission of development is even more unshirkable

With the new round of planning and development, Songnan's country park will be built in the Mishidu area. I heard from a local elder: For this reason, Mishidu Village and a large area of parks around it are within the planning scope, and active demolition is also underway.

According to the planning, after the country park is completed, it will form an ecological echo with the Sheshan Mountain in the north and the Huangpu River in the south. It is truly a place with mountains, water and green trees.

Moreover, this riverside ecological forest-type country park, characterized by the integration of water, forests, fields, and villages, includes a large area of water conservation forest in the upper reaches of the Huangpu River.

There are also wild farmlands and villages living on the water in the park. Then everyone can enjoy the taste of the countryside! Think about it and look forward to it~

The once prosperous Mishidu is no longer there

Although the traces are mottled at the moment

But we will never forget its past glory

now

Fan'er is looking forward to it

This historical and cultural area of Mishidu can be better constructed in the future.

There will be better development

Fanerxingren,

Are you taking the ferry at Mishidu?

What are your memories and expectations for her?

The message area is waiting for you to say:

Your love for Mishidu~

The boss said: A thumb is fifty cents.

Save enough to give Faner a salary increase!
